New Airline Offering Florida Only Flights

On March 20 2014, Florida Express Jet will be providing two daily round-trip flights between Orlando and Fort Lauderdale and between Orlando and Tallassee. The service will be available for most days through April and into May. The flight schedule allows passengers to book multiple connecting itineraries between Fort Lauderdale and Tallahassee via Orlando.

The planes façade includes bright Floridian colors and feature, "the Florida sun, water and beaches, palm trees and the state Everglades. All seats on the aircraft are soft blue leather." Free Wi-Fi will be available on aircraft that seats 12 in business class and 138 in coach.

Later in 2014, the company will add Jacksonville, Key West, Miami, and Tampa to their itinerary.

For just $69 each way on all coach seats, you can jet set within Florida. Florida Express Jet is pledging that fare on both of its nonstop routes. Business-class seats will costs $99 each way. Florida Express Jet stated that for connecting flights it would charge a flat rate of $99. There will be a $25 fee for each checked bag but preferred seating, carry-on bags, snacks, and soft drinks are free of cost.

There are already several other airline carriers that offer similar service within Florida. Silver Airways offers nonstop service between Tallahassee and Orlando. Silver Airways and Fort Lauderdale’s Spirit Airlines offer an Orlando-Fort Lauderdale route.
