As CEO since 1984, Juan has guided Tramex Travel through continuous expansion by a steadfast focus on fulfilling the promise we make to those who put their trust in us, the promise of unwavering responsiveness and focused dedication on fulfilling customer needs.
Since its inception, Juan has ensured that Tramex remained committed to and involved in the community. Juan has served on various community boards and organizations including Austin Quality Council, Adopt a School, KLRU Public Television, National Hispanic Business CEO Advisory Board, AARO, the A+ Coalition, Austin Community College Foundation, Paramount Theatre, UT Career Development Center, Austin Symphony Orchestra, Brackenridge Hospital Foundation, Children’s Hospital Foundation, Austin Children’s Museum, Austin Convention and Visitors Bureau Board, Girl Scouts Board, Austin Chamber of Commerce Board, the Make a Wish Foundation and the AISD Foundation among others.
Juan also chaired the board of Central Texas United Way, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and is a lifetime member of the Dell Children’s Hospital Foundation Board of Directors.

Margo started her career in the hotel business. Margo was the Regional Sales Director for Westin hotels in the bay area before joining Juan and moving to Texas to start Tramex Travel. There is no one in the industry with more hotel and group meeting experience. Margo’s contacts and business knowledge proves invaluable to our clients. Tramex has been presented with several prestigious awards over the years including Ernst and Young Entreprenuer of the Year and most recently the Spirit of Texas Small Business Award from the Governor’s Office. Inc. magazine listed Tramex as #93 on its list of the 500 fastest growing private firms in the country. Tramex has been recognized as small business of the year by the Austin Chamber of Commerce and the Hispanic Chamber.
Director of Operations
As Director of Operations, Maryann is responsible for all aspects of company management. A veteran of more than 30 years in the travel industry; 30 years with Tramex Travel. Maryann has literally worked in the trenches in all aspects of leisure, corporate, meeting, group and incentive travel. She has held leadership positions in operations, account management and has implemented a flat management structure across the organization preferring a hands-on approach with customers and employees alike.
